Award winning writer,producer and director  Max Van De Banks is the creative behind Severn Film Productions, he started his work in the film industry  many years ago  as a makeup designer / artist and is an internationally acclaimed artist in this field  and particularly  technical makeup effects .

His love of film and particularly period dramas  inspired him  to work in the industry. From an early age he was fascinated how the characters came to life  before your eyes, the face hair  and clothes tells you so much about them and the story of who this person was and is to the story. The surroundings “the set” took you in to there world  a time a place a moment.

Working with so many talented and creative people over the years  on other peoples films  he decided it mite be time to get a team of them together and with this vast pool of skills and experience begin to produce and tell there own stories.

We aim to produce a range of dramas  which look back to the recent past  with a story line which is compelling and reinvent for today’s audience.

We have a number of films in development and set in a time frame  from the 30’s to the 70’s  there is something which makes these  periods so endearing to the audience, in some cases the look of the piece its costume and sets may bring back a memory of there youth and to memories of that actual time and to the younger audience  can give an insight to a time gone by its issues and  the outlook of the people [characters] of that moment of time.

We also love a ghost story and again set theses in the past which in away makes them timeless , we have a number of these which combine all the elements of our aim of High production value  for Good stories amazing locations, great costuming, convincing characters all put together with amazing talented and creative crew and production team.
