PRODUCTION NOTES LOST HEARTS

Lost Hearts was a project which was to take shape over a number of years we begin our film when Stephen Elliot was a young boy being evacuated to the country during WW 2

The Second of our productions.

Following the successes of our first film “BEN’S DARE” we wanted to improve on our productions and raise the standard of output.

“Lost Hearts” would be that challenge.

Lost Hearts was a massive undertaking with over 50 cast members and a crew of over 40 creative hard working people along with all the staff involvement at our wonderful locations.

A unique element to Lost Hearts was to create the time scale between Stephen as a young man looking back on his past, we could have tried to find a young actor to play the role of Stephen and cast the adult role to suite but then what about the other members of the cast how would they fit in that time line? We decided that we would film in real time and the 10 years  which covers the beginning and end of our film is really 10 years, our young Stephen was cast and now plays himself as a young man  along with the rest of this amazing cast who came along with this project.

Over this time we were able to create a timeline which also visually showed the passage of time not just by the look of the actors but locations, these also changed  the size of trees , ivy  climbing over walls getting higher or not being there when 10 years earlier it was completely covered to the size of hedges.

So the film was made in two parts and we have filmed the beginning and end of the film in 2016 in association with Action Image Productions  and the main elements were filmed in 2005. We are now in post production with the edit by Benedict Mart sound design by Rob Davidsson   visual FX work by Dan Rickard  VFX artist from FOX UK Productions  and film score by Stephen Selby.
